The synergy of this trio is beautiful, with AK Harley gaining full power if AOJ is KO'd, as well as the entire team gaining 1 bar of power if AOB falls below 50% health. Possibly the most effective team using AOB, utilizing another (IMO) extremely underrated card: AOJ.

That extra power bar can very much spell the difference between victory and defeat with your Arkham team.ĪOB fits well in literally an Arkham team setup, though a few combinations are especially noteworthy:

Let him take the punches your teammates cannot take, and when his passive kicks in, surprise the opponent with a well-timed SP2 from each of your Arkham compatriots. He is most effective when soaking up the damage of opponent's specials and launching a surprise SP2 to demolish his enemies in one go. I personally prefer the LexCorp set as it counters power drain, regenerates health, and lifedrains the opponent on SP2.Ī powerful defensive gear that is especially useful to AOB, as it prevents one-shot KO's from opponents, guaranteeing his passive will kick in.ĪOB is a heavy-hitting tank who should not be front-lining the battle. The classic tank gear sets apply to AOB, both of which allow him to soak up massive amounts of damage while keeping his health up. The heal on SP1 is a good way to delay the activation of his passive for a better moment - but more importantly, it also offers a Bane-exclusive power drain effect on SP2, allowing him to not only demolish his foes, but rob them of power while doing it. I rarely recommend a card's signature equipment, but in the case of AOB, his Venom Injection System can be quite effective. There are a variety of ways to gear up the AOB, but due to his inane tank ability, you will want to double down on that: This is his shining attack and I'd recommend using it as often as you can.Ī neat attack, but we will almost never use this move. 5-hits of massive damage that (when caught off-guard) few can withstand. Not incredibly impressive, but with proper gears, it can be worth using (see recommended equipment section down below)Īn incredibly deadly SP2 capable of KO'ing multiple opponents at a time. The signature move of all Bane cards, Rage Slam is a strong single-hit SP that knocks the opponent back. While his basic attack combos are quite slow, he can juggle his heavy attacks fairly effectively, and it has been reported that he can even chain his SP2 to his heavy combo, making it unblockable. That being said, one must be careful with timing the activation of his passive: it will only activate if his health falls within 50% of his max health: if your opponent manages to one-hit KO him, his passive will be wasted. Indeed, he boasts one of the most versatile Arkham passives, it being beneficial to any Arkham team out there. When all else goes wrong, Bane breathes new life his teammates, allowing them to counter with their own dangerous specials. Given the fact that all Arkham cards (including Bane) have devastating multi-hit SP2s capable of wiping out entire teams on their own, this is nothing to scoff at and can be the saving grace of a match about to go south. And unlike KJJ, he doesn't need to be KO'd to activate it. Arkham Origins Bane's passive is essentially a conditional version of Batgirl (Prime) and Killing Joke Joker's passive abilities, allowing him to grant 1 bar of power to each Arkham member on his team (including himself) when his health falls below a certain threshold. The synergy between Arkham cards is too good to ignore. Vengeance: Bane enrages when below 50% health, giving himself and all Arkham teammates 1 bar of power once per match. Max Stats (at EX Level 60 with support cards but no augmentations):ĪO Bane is a well-rounded card with a decently high damage and health stat, his only real weakness being the typical slower-than-average attack speed shared by all Bane cards, which cements him in the role of a heavy-hitting tank.Īnd it's a role he excels quite well in! Let's take a closer look at the Man Who Broke the Bat: Back with another review, taking a look at another personal favorite and IMO underrated card: Arkham Origins Bane.īase Stats (at Level 1 with no support cards):
